Contacting Music Supervisors Directly

Hello,

As well as working with a couple of Music Libraries I have recently started contacting music supervisors for film and TV directly. I spent a ton of time drafting a short email describing my sound, with a link to box.com where tracks can be streamed and/or downloaded.

As you’d expect, there often isn’t a response, considering they probably get hundreds of similar emails per day, though I have had a few positive responses.

Is anyone else trying this route? If so, could you recommend a resource or listing that lists music supervisors, the companies they work for and contact information?
