add publishing to my cues (ascap)

I had previously registered my works with ascap as the composer only. I recently created a publisher account with ascap and am in the process of adding my publishing to all my works.

When adding the publisher, I also need to add a “territory”. The options are US, US and Canada and World. Do any of you know what should be entered there? I would like to have global publishing, but don’t know if what else needs to be done on my side before selecting that option.

Robert Safir over at Linkedin left this answer: “Art, if you use ASCAP’s Quick Form, you simply need to add the publisher’s share (50%), and not state the territory. I haven’t used the long form for this, but I imagine you’d want to put US, Canada, and World.”
