I was approached by a sister company of a licensing library I work with. They generate revenue through creating play lists and getting tons of plays on your songs on Spotify and other streaming sites, as well as the retail market and other things you don’t normally think of. Its a 50/50 deal. They do register the tracks with Youtube CI unless you opt out. But they said the only problem with Youtubue is people don’t know how to manage it by “white listing” your tracks so no copyright issues show up with your other licensing libraries. Wondering if anyone has any thoughts or has tried this? It seems like a win win, if they can generate real revenue for me. This particular company only works with a small handful of writers too, so they aren’t working with thousands of tracks.
