Anyone ever try submitting an ASCAP Ad Claim, and how did it go? I just submitted my first one for a promo that ran on Turner Movie Classics for about a month last December. I’ll report how it goes.
My October ASCAP statement had 10 second promo on CBS that paid $5-$9 per airing. That motivated me to investigate this Ad Claim a bit more.
I submitted one for a promo on the history channel. Ascap denied it.

Doubt you’ll ever get paid on a promo unless it’s one of the major networks. True of BMI also.
