Hello all,
My ASCAP resignation became official today 7/1. I applied for BMI back in March with a paper application since they wouldn’t allow an online version for a person still affiliated with another PRO. All of this is fine.
However, here I am with a resigned status with ASCAP (although all past works are staying).
I inquired again about a week ago and they assured me that on 7/1 it would be processed. But I have received no email confirmation…nothing.
Probably just me being anxious since I have no affiliation with a PRO now. I know it’s only been one day:)
Just wondering…anyone else experience something similar? Thanks for any comments on this!
They are most likely waiting for confirmation from ASCAP that your affiliation is actually terminated. Even if your application wasn’t processed on 7/1 they should set your start date to 7/1.
