Curious if any composer thinks it’s worthwhile purchase. At $100, it’s not cheap! It is 425 pages long, which makes it seem like it is more exhaustive than MLR.
This directly is available for purchase from http://www.MusicRegistry.com
The 2016 Film & Television Music Guide is the only resource you need to reach every Music Supervisor, Film Studio and Television Network Music Department, Trailer House, Video Game Company, Music Library, Music Placement Company, and Music Editor in the business.
Has anyone purchased this guide? What’s your opinion of it? Thanks!April 15, 2016 at 1:30 pm #24653Happy EarsParticipant
No, I doubt that’s gonna do much for you. This business is realitonship based and beside you can probably dig up that info in that book via the internet using sites like this http://variety411.com/us/los-angeles/ but again I know where Capitol Records are located but doesn’t mean anyone is gonna listen to my stuff just because I drop off my demo at the Capitol Records building.April 16, 2016 at 3:39 am #24655maxpowerParticipant
I agree. Do your own research, cultivate your own contacts, build your own relationships. Besides – anyone listed in that book is presumably now going to be inundated with by anyone who has purchased it.
