    Hi Everyone
Long time professional composer, but new to this world.
    I love writng music!!
I’ve been poking around MLR for the last week or so, gradually getting a feel for how things work in this end of the business. Really appreciating all the info provided.

I have about 30 years experience writing various styles of music for commercials films and TV etc
if you look at my website you will get an idea of the many different directions I’ve been pointed in over the years.

    website is

I think I have some of the musical skills required to approach the production music world, but I am confused about the best way to proceed.

Should I put together a collection of pieces that match the production model that I am seeing- each piece 2 minutes or so in length… edit points, etc etc… or just send some of my existing music to some selected houses.?

Lots of other questions… but one at a time!

    Best wishes to all

    Doug

    Hi there Doug, and welcome!

    Sounds good!

Being in Toronto, there is a lot of music coming out of that area, and some really good libraries up there.
