Hi all, I should know this one but I don’t. And if anyone can tell me where to go to get succinct info, I’d be grateful.
I’m with BMI and I get the usual statements. A lot of my royalties come from contracts that I have with Libraries in Canada and Europe.
Now these companies register my works with their respective PRO’s.
Presumably all the PRO’s talk to each other because I see where my music is being placed.
Question 1: How does this work?
Question 2: Should I be doing anything with BMI after I send my tracks to the various libraries abroad that I have contracts with. I have good personnel relationships with the owners so I do trust them. Just checking that I’m not missing out on something.
If you can point me to a url that deals with all of this thanks.
