Just wondering what you guys think of this fadeout for my 30 second edit? https://gofile.io/d/Aj7730

Is it too sudden or should I end it sooner and let the reverb decay a bit more? I’m probably overthinking this…

Haven’t listened as that link asked me to download. Generally your last note would hit at 29 to 29.5 seconds. I fade whatever is left to a little bit over 30. I hear many commercial where they abruptly cut off the music so don’t overthink it.

Ah ok, that’s pretty much what i’ve done; last note on 29 secs, but it finishes bang on 30 – i read some libraries require the edits to be exact. Here’s a link to the stream anyway https://soundcloud.com/fc1985/30-second-edit/s-1xWidRpZDMf

When titling the WAV file (not the library listing, but the meta-data/file itself), will this format suffice –

    ‘Track title’ (30 Second Edit)

    or

    ‘Track Title’ (00:30)

Got another question for you if you don’t mind…

Because I’ve changed the melody of my rhodes slightly in order to cater to the length of my sting and to a lesser extent the other 30 sec and 60 sec edits, should I include these in the preview, even though the changes are not that drastic?

I usually add 30 Second but I have also seen 30 sec.

For your second question: I wouldn’t worry about it.
