    I posted this a couple of years ago and thought it would worthwhile to point it out again. It shows musical instruments and their frequency spread.

    Props to AlanF who recently left a great comment on a critique of “Saddest Day In September“. In the comment he cited a terrific resource, E.J. Quinby’s interactive “Musical Pitch Relation Chart” at the independentrecording.net website. Click on image to see it in action. Way cool!

    On a related note, if you are using ProTools their eqs, you can solo eq bands and really hone in on that frequency you’re trying to boost or cut … here is a page with photo and description:
