So I recently got an iPad (I know, a little late to the party) and enjoy reading books on it using the Kindle app, Ibooks or Cloud Library. What I’ve noticed is that the publishing business (in this case, book publishing) has very good control over the distribution of their digital product. What happened with music that led to us and our publishers to lose so much control over our digital product and can we ever gain this back? I have my answers but wanted to throw this out there and see what everyone thinks.
