    Hello,

I just had a track accepted that I have co written.

The song has been registered in SOCAN / ASCAP as a co write.

Can either person sign the contract with the library ?

    What’s the procedure.

In some cases the library’s contract will have a clause saying you have the rights to sign for your co-writer and are responsible if any problems arise. In other cases (looking at my recent Crucial contract) they want all writers to sign. To be safe you should have an agreement with your co-writer that gives you the right to sign for them.

BTW I am NOT a lawyer nor do I play one on TV. 🙂
