It would be great to see a Contract Length parameter added to the search engine.

I’m only interested in contracts that are not “in perpetuity”.

Why would any pro want to give up 100% publishing rights?

The library owners will pitch your material at their discretion…and a contract in perpetuity means that your songs might end up laying in dust at some point in time, forgotten.

If your material is good, then chances are that most of it won’t see any royalties, because, according to Tune Sat,

“Up to 80 percent of music on TV goes unreported to performance rights organizations (PROs) due to the manual reporting process.”

Ask and you may sometimes receive! 🙂

“Contract Length” search field has been added.
