This is my first attempt at a “gentle and meditative” acoustic guitar and piano cue suited for a shorter TV ad, possibly in the healthcare or insurance space.

I also added two versions of the last chord. Which do you think is better?

Overall, do you think this stands a chance for placement? I welcome any comments and suggestions.

Sounds great. Great tones. I like the 2nd ending. You could also add some percussion (or drums) and stretch it out, build the back half up a bit. Most libraries like a track that builds from what I’ve seen. You can always do a mix without them. Great work!

@OverDub Thanks for your suggestions. I like the 2nd ending better too. This one is about 30 seconds but I’ll also write a 60 second version that builds. Adding percussion is a great idea, I suppose I just have to make sure it’s light enough so that it doesn’t interfere with dialog. I also need to work on my efficiency. This one took too long to make (about two hours) partly due to some software problems, so I’ll have to find ways to turn these out faster.
