Here’s a fun one.
I distribute our music through Level Music, which is partnered with Warner Music Group. A few weeks ago I get an email from Sound Exchange, that WMG is claiming they own the copyright, on the recordings, on one of the “albums” (10 songs) I released. Level has now pulled the album (though it’s still on Spotify). WTF!
I had to go the Sound Exchange Overlaps & Dispute page to contest their claim. WMG has until 7-14-22 to respond or it stays with me.
Of course emails to WMG and Level have so far gone unanswered. What a mess, Double WTF!
Anyone else run into this?
