    Hello,

    Question for the group:

I am about to have songs with a non-exclusive library, who says they do not retitle, and I am also planning to have these same compositions on streaming services. I am PRO affiliated, so should I register these pieces with myself as the publisher so I can collect any streaming royalties? If so, how does this impact the library when they go to register for the publishing portion since they say they do not retitle?

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but I could not find a thread about it.

Thank you in advance! I have learned a lot from this forum!

They will have to re-title in some way to ensure they get paid. Probably a code of some sort appended to your title. That’s what they will register. You should check with them to make sure how they will title your tracks. Do not register their title versions of your songs. You can register your own unique titles with your PRO.

    Art,

Thank you for the feedback! That certainly makes sense.
