Ok, so I was wondering. When we place tracks with libraries, they’re in a high quality format (WAV, AIFF, etc). In order for Tunesat to detect, does the high quality format need to be uploaded, or does an mp3 of the track work?

I guess my question is, is it detecting the actual file being used, or is it using audio recognition? I’m thinking it’s the latter, but I figured I’d ask to be sure.

    Thanks,

    -Loren

I always upload a wav file as Tunesat takes a digital fingerprint and compares that against a detection. At least that is the way I understand it.

Good to know, Art, thanks. Guess I’ll be deleting and replacing files this afternoon!

I usually upliad wave files. Interestingly I had a detection yesterday and the file was mp3.

To be safe, I deleted the mp3s and replaced the with the wav files. Thanks for the answers!

Thanks, Soundroad. If that’s the case, then their technology must be based on audio recognition after all.
