I’ve been working a good amount of dramedy cues lately. I’m curious to see what everyone’s software instruments of choice are in this genre regarding your pizz strings, mallet instruments etc? Lots of options of course but vast differences in some cases.

Haven’t seen any responses yet but I will be forthcoming with what has been working for me. NI symphony series mallets with close mics only, EastWest Hollywood series pizz strings with the smaller chamber sections. I actually also like the upright piano in Addictive Keys as well for this. Any suggestions for your go-to marimba or glock sounds for these type of cues? I was fortunate with lots of placements in rock genres over the years and have shifted focus a bit to dramedy since it continues to have relevancy in programming and am enjoying it.

Good morning, I’ll answer this.. I don’t stay in the box for Pizz, Mallets, assorted Dramedy “typicals and insipids..” I use My “OLD” EMU Proteus 2000, My KORG M1, and T3.

I hear that KORG has great rendenditions of their hardware products as plugins available..
