Yes I read those; thanks.
Nothing there really answered my question about scattergun approach vs discerning approach.
My gut is the discerning approach – as in give the exclusives time to reject my music then move on to some others.
Anyone got a view on this?
Art MunsonKeymasterHi Minkus,
Welcome to the forum. You’ve got plenty of company – we all had similar questions when we started.
The moderator of this forum, Art Munson, has nicely assembled a section for newbies that answers many of the questions you asked…and answers questions you haven’t yet asked ๐
Start here – enjoy!

Art MunsonKeymasterThanks for the follow up Chuck. Glad you got it sorted. I’m on a PC and have never run into that problem.
Art MunsonKeymasterWell I just got my first detection for about 4 weeks, this came straight after they’d performed maintenence on the site yesterday. I wonder if this had anything to do with it, who knows….but that’s why we’re here right? to speculate! ๐
Art MunsonKeymasterGreat, thanks!

Art MunsonKeymasterRF libraries are not where you put your music, if your focus is on broadcast placements.
True, but if your RF music is used for broadcast purposes, royalties should still be collected.

True in any business, RF or otherwise!

I’m only with a few RF libraries and not planning to add any more. Sticking with long established RF libraries that are easy to communicate with should help in alleviating the Content ID problem. The same should would hold true for those non-exclusive libraries that only seek film/TV placements.

Art MunsonKeymasterGreat topic. Does anyone have any updated info?
November 21, 2014 at 4:40 pm in reply to: How many Non-Exclusive deals for the same tracks is too many? #18693Art MunsonKeymasterAs many as possible, until you find the ones that get steady placements for you.
Art MunsonKeymasterBut it’s not working in the way Tunesat said it would work- namely, that Tunesat would compare their detections with my ASCAP statements and file exception reports on my behalf with ASCAP.
That is a huge problem.
Art MunsonKeymasterI’ve had trouble with them lately too
