If you use Kontakt, NI, Heavyocity etc…they are a bunch of samples alot of other composers use….we could debate for days… I have been around and around on Splice and I will tell you to at all cost’s avoid complete full loops….even though you are allowed to use them it can be a hassel with the libraries also do not use vocal phrase’s and try to alter any sample that may have a melody of sorts …Pads should be fine…..just use common sense and know the boundaries as a composer..to stay out of trouble..check out the article on Justine Beiber….https://www.theverge.com/2020/2/17/21140838/justin-bieber-changes-running-over-asher-monroe-synergy-splice-sample-melody
here is an example of one of my emails from Splice…..

    Hey there!

Thanks for writing in. If you wish to submit your work to a production music library you can, but you do have restrictions to providing the samples you’ve used in isolation. This means that the samples you use need to either be edited to the point of it not being recognized as the original sample or include it in a combination of other sounds.

For this particular example, you cannot provide stems of the samples or a template of your project because this would cause the sample to be in isolation.

Please let us know if you need help with anything else!

I only use Splice I personally would not use any sample packs from another source to me splice is crystal clear on where these samples come from and what you can do and can not do with them. Remember you don’t own them Splice does……

hope I have helped clear up the murk some …….

Great Question johnnyboy!…10 to 15 at a time……. gives my ears a chance to cool on the track.I get more inspiration when I walk away for a bit. if i can’t get it to work the way I want it to in a reasonable time or the compositions is just not happening… it gets deleted usually that only happens in the beginning phase…to many other melodies to pick from in the universe…but that’s just me ..I rotate like that and I have a hopper method I run it through Isotope and EXPOSE until I have that feeling you get when enough is enough and the track is good to go…..like Art I’m not fast so I don’t do deadlines….. my tracks are a representation of me and my work and I want people to feel an emotion from them and libraries to accept them so I take my time…I tend to do admin, check out plugins, tweak my templates, read MLR do any software upgrades in the morn and work on my tracks later in late afternoon into the evening along with a ice cold shot of good bourbon …..lol

If it helps your not completely alone I had the same issue with a track. They used 15 to 30 seconds of it 54 times on the MSG Network Fight Night….according to Tunesat…..but I could not find it on numerator searched and searched …there just seems to be to many gears in the music machine that can break and no one knows how to fix it or wants to….I enjoy making music and putting it in libraries but I kept telling myself …I must be crazy so “Welcome to the Machine”…………..I’ll continue keeping the dream alive by hitting the snooze button.

    RMcGravey90….

yeah what a downturn of things…wonder if these subscription models will finally wipe any libraries that support their composers..
this may need to be another topic …………..but
IMHO…Really good guitar players on this forum and elsewhere I know never get into the limelight or maybe they don’t want it ….instead I’ve tried to listen to players in commercial crap radio regurgitate covers of great songs or play 1 million notes a second that don’t speak to my soul….I won’t mention names lol…..constant ads of these people hyped when you go to music gear sites these days …. forgive me I really don’t think they are all that I guess that sells gear??… smh….not trying to be mean about it but have always had a wonder why attitude about this…so in the meantime I will continue to put my blood, sweat and tears…into gigs and the libraries ……I will hope that I am not wrong to feel this way…a little off topic but awesome playing bro…..very nice!
