Not as great as the previous 2-3 statements but still very decent. International royalties saved the day, highest payment ever by far. They surpassed US royalties for the first time.October 4, 2022 at 4:43 am in reply to: SportsNet New York #40751
@White_Stripes: yes, i’ve seen some SNY royalties on the last 2 BMI statements. Equal good to SportsNet LA ones 🙂 Mind you, some of the payments where delayed by 2 or 3 quarters. Hope you do good with these 2 commercials!August 1, 2022 at 7:06 am in reply to: New Look For MLR #40017
Haven’t checked it on mobile but the desktop edition feels like i’m sitting in the front row of a movie theater! Everything looks very wide and big. Lot more scrolling involved too now. Is there a way we can modify the page to look a bit narrower?
Glad to hear several issues were fixed now though!July 4, 2022 at 1:13 pm in reply to: BTN themes #39885
Congrats Danny! Not sure about themes but BG placements on BTN can be in the low 3-digits sometimes. Some others are much lower but, yeah, BMI at least pays for these BTN placements. I hope your theme will be in some primetime show!June 9, 2022 at 11:09 pm in reply to: Datestamps on comments #39814
Thanks Art!June 9, 2022 at 7:15 am in reply to: Datestamps on comments #39804
I don’t mind not having date stamps on the forums, all info there makes a good read and is helpful regardless if it’s old or new.
The libraries area though is a different story: many of the comments about a library’s ownership, sub-publishers, deal points, overall activity etc could be confusing if we don’t have date stamps.
I don’t know, maybe it’s just a habit, but i always check the date stamps on a library’s comments.June 8, 2022 at 7:27 pm in reply to: Datestamps on comments #39798
Yeah, no date stamps for me either. I agree about the library comments, it was very useful to have date stamps there.May 21, 2022 at 3:17 am in reply to: Latest BMI Payout – May 20, 2022 #39762
A little lower than the previous 2 statements but still good. International royalties were the best so far, covering almost 40% of the payment.March 7, 2022 at 11:49 am in reply to: Best cloud storage for composers? #39579
Apple iDrive for me too. I paid $19 for 2TB the first year, upgraded to 5TB for $60 the second year and now they offered me a 50% discount to keep the same plan for a third year. The best VFM choice imo.February 15, 2022 at 7:22 am in reply to: What are you listening to? #39504
1.Tash Sultana – Jungle
2.Flume – Ezra
3.Year & Years – Starstruck
4.Ofdream – When You Believe
5.Alan Walker & Imanbek – Sweet Dreams
Enjoying and also get my creative juices flowing 🙂February 11, 2022 at 2:13 am in reply to: Non-Competition clause #39481
Yeah, unless they pay you $1K per second of music you submit to them, run for the hills!December 30, 2021 at 11:25 pm in reply to: GAC, HGTV, DIY, Cooking Channel, TV Land, Destination America, etc in 2021 #39292
I had a small payment ($2.18) from one Univision show called “MIRA QUIEN BAILA” on my last BMI statement. My track aired for just 0:04 and had 66 hits. I’ve seen more Tunesat hits from this network recently.September 20, 2021 at 4:27 pm in reply to: BMI Royalties September #38934
I’m receiving BMI royalties for the past 7+ years and this was the best Q so far!!! Didn’t expect it considering the whole covid situation. Like Art said, Facebook and Netflix payments were surprisingly good this quarter. Some good payments from Netherland, Denmark and Australia too.June 21, 2021 at 3:50 pm in reply to: BMI Royalties 2020 Q4 – Paid 6/18/21 #38156
Slightly better than the previous one. International royalties look pretty good.March 21, 2021 at 10:22 am in reply to: BMI 3rd quarter 2020 #37584
@Jonathan: you can change your payment preference from check to wire transfer btw. This will save you quite a few bucks and you’ll be receiving your payments to your bank account the same day statements are issued.
My bank for example, was charging me about $30 to clear a check but since i switched to wire transfer, they only charge me $4/per payment.
