    Thanks for the info!
We’re about a year and a half into this pandemic and ASCAP still can’t give us set payout dates. I wonder if the other PROs are like this as well.

Anyone else wake up this morning and NOT see the latest International Distribution in their bank account? I guess it’s next week.

Same here. My last comment was previously posted way back in August. I don”t know why it appeared yesterday as Sept. 3rd.

Congrats! My bank always does ASCAP direct deposit on Saturday so I guess I’ll see tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed!

I just called ASCAP. The rep said that they are releasing an International Distribution later this month, towards the end of May. She said that they should be able to give us a firm date by the end of this week. As soon as they have a date, I’m sure we’ll all get an email from ASCAP Global Services.

Hey gigdude! Congrats on the CIC placements! You probably had a ton of plays on Netflix. That’s where the show airs correct? Netflix doesn’t show the amount of plays. Hulu does. Amazon does. Truth is, you probably should have been paid WAY more than what you got. Streaming royalties are a joke!

I’m more worried about the international distribution that is due in May. Let’s hope there is one! ASCAP still hasn’t given us a set date for May, I’m assuming it’ll be towards the tail end of next month.
As for the current domestic statement, mine was a bit lower than usual.

As of today I have 454 BTN cue sheets in my ASCAP account. I’ve only been paid for one single placement and it was for over 100 bucks. They owe us a whole lot more. If you haven’t been paid, file an inquiry with ASCAP. If we all step up maybe they’ll take notice and do the right thing.

ESPN doesn’t pay royalties because they are built into the direct licensing deals with the publishers/libraries. I’ve already put in an appeal with ASCAP . I’m not expecting any money – I’m just appealing strictly on principle. I normally wouldn’t care about this, but its hard to ignore the sheer avalanche of SportsCenter cue sheets that keep adding up every day in my PRO account. Why are these cue sheets being processed if no one is getting royalties? According to Forbes, ESPN’s brand value is 14.6 BILLION dollars. They can’t afford to pony up a few shillings in royalties to writers and publishers?

It is extremely important! I would say that at least half of my sales on the RF market are the alt versions.
