    rawrthas:
Anyone ever have a work shown as Registed in the Work Registration section, but it not show up in your catalog? They’re not showing up when I search for them either. Hopefully I’m worrying over nothing and it takes another day for the Work and Work # to show up in my catalog.

I just went through that about a month ago when Indie tracks registered the retitled songs to my BMI account. While they were actually registered, You couldn’t see any of those songs there in my works catalog. My other stuff was there, but not these. I waited for weeks for them to show up next to my other songs. Finally, Indie tracks emailed BMI them and I emailed them. BMI responded saying that for some reason my account wasn’t showing up in their data base even though my other songs were visible and that it could take a couple of weeks to fix it. A couple of weeks went by and still the new cues weren’t showing up. After more follow up emails they said they would expedite fixing this with their other office wherever they are that fixes these things. Finally, a couple of weeks later, everything was fixed and showing up.
It usually just takes a few days or a week at most for my registered songs to show up and I get the email. Much after that might be worth an email. They do occasionally have technical issues like everybody else.

    Brian:
Congrats on the purchase Pat.FYI:NI is having 50% sale for $169.50 until July 7th and Damage is included.Thought I’d mention it to save you some dough just in case it’s not too late.

Thanks for the heads up but Ofcourse, I already bought it the 2 days later I saw that 50% discount. Oh well. That’s my life’s story. lol
I’m happy though. Symphobia is out for delivery and should be here within hours, I played with damage all day yesterday and absolutely love this thing. Kinda reminds me of Stylus emx a bit. Also decided on the Apocalyspe Ensemble library by Soundiron. I’m set for awhile. No more major purchases for a long time. My credit card bill isn’t that sexy.

I thought about that not having midi files or loops but Damage has loops I can screw with so I think I’d be willing to do “some” finger work with Apocolypse. Sounds so could….can’t…keep…my..credit card….in…my…pocket….uh.

Now THAT’S what I’m talking about! You sound great! You got the mix really nice and the drums sit right in there.
I was listening to the different demos and had pretty much decided that I would get it. It just sounds crazy good.
Between that and Damage, I think I’d be set. Plus it has the nice cymbals and snares to round it out. I think I dood it.

Just so happens I checked out Apocalypse Percussion Ensemble earlier today. Never heard of it before . Ran across it by accident. I was blown away by the sheer clarity. It’s definitely on my short list. I’ve just about checked out all the others but I was surprised at how good Apocalypse sounded. Thanks for reminding me. I’m going back to check it out again.

What are you using for cymbals and snares? Seems the best libraries are focused on either toms or taikos who’s got it all?

    Hi Dennis,
Thanks. Yeah,I think hybrid would be a good way of putting it.
I was pretty impressed with Damage and the fact that you can go in there and do things with it but you don’t have to input a note at a time for each drum. Just not into that. That’s why I was considering SD2 because of the performances and loops that I could edit but at the same time, I don’t want to drag down the quality of the big buck Symphobia with with a perc program that’s 4 years old isn’t it’s equal sound wise. Part of me thinks all it takes is some eqing ad it’ll be as good as new. Maybe I’ll just stick to damage till I decide on something.
Between getting Symphobia and Damage, I should have enough to keep me busy for some time.

    Hi Michael!
Yeah, I was aware of the price difference. I used Try-sound.com and downloaded all three to play with, Sam’s Essentials,Symphobia 1 and 2 and decided since I have no plans on buying this type of software again for a very long time, I went big and got Symphobia. I don’t know how deep I really have no idea how deep I may want to get into it in the future but I know I have that option.
I agree on the SD2 being old but what kept my interest was the fact that It comes with performances I can edit which is what I meant when I said my own footprint. Not so much trying to break new ground per se but if you hear a performance that I edited, you may know the software but you might not be able to pick out the performance.
I checked out Taiko’s but thought it was a little too specialized. I want something a little broader.
Drums of war2 I like. Great sound. I’m checking that out now. I may download it and play with it.
    Thanks for your input!

Never mind. I’m leaning toward SD2. Seems to be more me.

I see. Somebody added the song to their own personal station you can create there. Now I get it.
