Thanks once again for all the advice Mark. To be completely honest with you, I’m still trying to figure out which path will be best for me in the music world. I think I can say without being cocky that I have talent, but I also am aware of how saturated the trailer music industry is. At the same time, I think trailer music could be a great avenue for me to pursue while I’m in college.
I don’t know where I’m really going here, but I guess I’d ask how you made yourself stand out in such a competitive/saturated industry.
Thank you very much – the advice you’re giving is so applicable. I’ve listened to your pieces before but I’m going to again while keeping the things you mentioned in mind.December 19, 2019 at 4:55 pm in reply to: Anything wrong with semi-blindly submitting music to non-ex libraries? #33806
I mean submitting more than signing a contract, which I would be much more careful with. But if I sign with a non-exclusive and it doesn’t go well, isn’t it no harm no foul, or is my common sense leading me wrong here?
Then what’s the conclusion? What’s too many? 15, 20, 25?
Glad you clarified that, as I thought it meant that you could withdraw your tracks at any time. Important distinction!
