    Dear HUMTOO user,

Sadly, the HUMTOO site has now been taken offline.

HUMTOO successfully built a user-generated production music library, with users from across the globe. Due to unforseen problems, we have decided to take the site down.

Content creators, please submit any outstanding cue sheets to us before the 1st of February.

Music Makers, it’s now your responsibility to follow up your music royalties with your PRO.

Your publishing agreement with HUMTOO no longer applies past 31st December 2011.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for being part of the community.

Best of luck in the future.

    Best regards,

    The HUMTOO team.

  2. I do not think HumToo was really a traditional library. I browsed their site a while back and it did not make sense. It seemed that amyone with an account could upload and download songs or other creative content. I am not sure what the business model was based upon other than cue sheet compliance.

  3. They will be “in touch with composers”? I’m not holding my breath.

No contact information was provided when they published their swan-song. How can contributors/composers hope to recover our audio tracks or at least make certain that they’re not distributed elsewhere without permission?

Sorry that I ever got involved with Humtoo – a waste of time and energy, nevertheless a relatively inexpensive and potentially valuable lesson for future reference!

  5. Just FYI, I just went to the site. They are closing their doors in Jan 2012 and will be in touch with the composers with more information.
I have some tracks sitting there myself.
