  1. Looks like I Syndica has closed down…..

    It had such potential.

OK here is the next question. Does anyone know of something similar for Audio? i.e. a site, piece of software that lets you upload to multiple sites / FTP accounts all at the same time?

    Kind regards

  2. Non exclusive composers NEED to get onto I Syndica. Yes the meta data is not comprehensive at the moment, but if you compose a batch of 20 songs, then you upload them once to I Syndica, and it gets sent out everywhere. I am working with the team at I Syndica to get more channels and sites connected to I Syndica, along with more advanced meta data.

I Syndica saves me hours of time, and gives my modem a rest from uploading for hours and hours at a time!!!!!!!!

In time it will be incredible. I currently have a Premium subscription (which is fine at the moment, but may need to upgrade in the future).

Is an amazing resource for non exclusive authors, and the ability to design your own custom FTP channels is brilliant!

  3. I’ve been using iSyndica now for the last week and while the promise of the service is great, the delivery is a bit less so.

iSyndica is a central site where you can upload your music files and than have iSyndica deliver them (“syndicate” in their terms) to the various music sites that you have accounts with. They have relationships with a number of sites such as Catooh, Revo Stock, Stock Fuel, Musicloops, Audiomicro and a number of others. The also include the capability of delivering to generic FTP accounts.

The appealing factor is to be able to fill in your metadata one time, on iSyndica, and have it propagate to all the sites you are having iSyndica deliver (syndicate) your music files to.

The delivery of the files works most of the times though I have had a few times when they were not delivered or delayed. The biggest problem is that much of the metadata is not transferred on the sites I have been trying (Catooh, Revo Stock, Stock Fuel and Pond5). The title, description and keywords do not transfer on Revo or Pond5. Catooh manages to get description and keywords but not the title. Stock Fuel gets all three. There is also no ability to transfer categories.

That being said I will continue to use it as the ability to only upload your music files once is a huge time saver. I’m hoping that the metadata situation will improve with time.

    • I agree. I just signed up for iSYNDiC’s free trial and it’s pretty cool. And yes better transfer of metadata is needed but a great start.

  5. Hello Art:

Thanks for the listing. We currently support 5 sites: Revostock, Pond5, Audiomicro, Catooh and ClipDealer. We will add more in the near future and it needs to be said that we’ve have a generic connector that lets anyone hook up to any site using FTP.

We did start with photos but we hope to provide the same benefit of our distribution platform to audio composers.

And, as we’re still developing our system, any feedback or comment is welcome =)

    Cheers,

    Hugo – iSyndica.com

  6. Really interesting. It seems tailored to the images world, I wonder how well it would work for audio, with all the different formats websites seem to want – 44.1K vs 48K, aiff / wav / hi res mp3 / low res mp3.

  7. From their website:

Upload Once, Sell Everywhereâ„¢. iSyndica eliminates the need for you to upload your files to several microstock agencies & social media sites. You upload with us, we store it, we distribute it and we provide you with statistics. All in one place!
