  1. something suspect about this company. I recon it’s a 1 man show with a fancy website. I’ve had stuff up with them over a year and no joys, and no response from the company.

Looking up the musinc.co.uk domain, the uk limited company number is: 7971817

According to compancheck the company is dissolved.

The company director is: Mr Ben Christopher Wainwright

the who is data report has an address:
    15 Rowleys Green Lane

All the other websites domains the company has used are no longer active or have domain privacy.

I think changing your domain without notifying your composers, or giving proper contact details and or communicating with direct requests is totally unacceptable.

    Avoid this library.

        • Hi guys,
My apologies for the lack of contact. There have been a number of issues with the site that have been difficult to resolve. An email is being issued out to anyone registered to the site and contact can still be made via info@musinc.co.uk.
The company was originally registered in the UK and then moved to Ireland all for perfectly legitimate relocation reasons.
Unfortunately recent poor health has sidelined me from keeping the required focus on the business.
I’d like to reiterate that the site was genuinely built with the best interests of supporting composers (coming from that background myself). Please feel free to get in touch if you have any concerns or doubts and I will be happy to address them personally.
          Sincerely,
          Ben

  2. From Musinc webiste (FAQ):
“We market exclusive and non-exclusive audio. Exclusive audio by definition is audio that you provide to Musinc that is not available anywhere else. If this is purchased you will receive 50% of the licence fee. If the music you supply is non-exclusive i.e available elsewhere, then you receive 50% of the license fee.”

It seems that both exclusive and non-exclusive receive 50%. This doesn’t make much sense to me. Or … am I missing something? Anybody care to explain? More generally, what is your experience with Musinc?
    Thanks!!

        • Hi GM,

I haven’t uploaded anything to musinc yet.In general,i prefer to have the flexibility of naming the price of my tracks but on the other hand Musinc’s clientele looks impressive and their prices aren’t bad (£41.67=$60 for standard licenses and £208.34=$300 for premium licenses). There’s no contract to sign so,i guess you can delete your tracks whenever you want.
I might upload some stuff there to test the waters.

          • Thanks Kubed, I’ll guess I’ll do the same. It seems strange to me that their twitter account is inactive since september 2013, but maybe it means nothing.
I’ve had a “bad experience” lately with another library (BO) so I guess I’m becoming reluctant to put my music in libraries for which I can’t find much information here on MLR. Thx again.

            • i know how you feel,i also had some tracks uploaded to BO :(((
Anyway,i uploaded my 1st track to Musinc yesterday, they need a low mp3 for preview purposes and a pack with 30/60 edits etc (they strongly recommend to include “sting” versions).
              I will upload more today.
Good luck to both of us!

I was hesitating to upload to another RF site (i’m constantly feeding 4 others and quit submitting to 2-3 others that had very poor results) but i’m willing to give this one a try.
