Hello. I live in the US. I have been dealing with [removed] Soundreef for the last six months. [removed]
Wheareas Soundreef is a slightly different animal. A lot of thought went to the creation of Soundreef due to changes in international law in Europe affecting music licensing companies. Bands/singers no longer had to receive music royalties through their pros for public performances at restaurants stores, bars, etc. It was now possible to used companies like Soundreef as an intermediary, with more transparency in a revenue sharing arrangement with Soundreef. There needs to be no involvement with a PRO. I particularly like their dashboard in their accounts where they give you a good feel in the trends and estimates regarding how much you will receive every six months. It lists the number of play lists, number of plays and an estimate of how much you will receive.
To load the songs on their web site is extremely easy and only takes a couple of weeks to be active and thus be available for placement on their play lists. I love their concept. Looking forward to our first big check in July. Again, I have a high regard for [removed] Soundreef. I feel fortunate to have found them sooner rather than later because I thing they are going to be dominant on the world scene. They respond very promptly to any questions you may have.
Also, as a last note, as they are non-exclusive, I continue to use my other music license companies in the US, Australia and Canada.
I hope this info is helpful, take care, David Wells
