Hey all! Wondering if anyone has a good source for a solid composer collaboration agreement, two writers, equal share writers+pub..
I know they’re legal documents, so no one can ‘offer advice’ yada. Do you guys just hire a lawyer to draw one up? Are there ‘tried and true’ templates out there, I mean, people have been co-writing for decades now 🙂 you’d think we’d have landed on something
I’ve poked around some and found some examples. Is my best bet short of a lawyer to just mimic what I can find? I’m informed enough to understand MOST language, and have been recognizing patterns and base similarities..

If all you want is a document that specifies writers’ and publishers’ splits, that’s a pretty simple deal. IMHO not worth having to go to a lawyer for. Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer.
