Hello. I am new to the site and to the industry. Really have found this site to have some excellent and valuable info while I get things off the ground, so thanks for that!
I know this is a contentious issue and I’ve recently had my first library pushing it on me. I just signed with a library NE and they are sort of pushing AdRev on me. Has any had any experience with AdRev specifically? I’m just very curious who participates in content ID in the industry and who doesn’t. I know that there can be some benefits, but it can be a potential pain for clients that have legally licensed your tracks and the system is completely automated, which can be a real mess. Thoughts?
Please use the search box on the upper right for “content ID” and you will see this has been discussed many times here. You particularly do NOT want to be involved if you have signed a non-exclusive deal with a library, be it AdRev or anyone else.
