Ever since Gibson came out with their robot tuning system a few years ago I wanted one. I never liked the hassle of tuning and this seemed like a dream come true. It did require buying a new guitar and that was something I did not want to do so I abandoned the idea. Recently a friend of mine received a new Les Paul with the Min-ETune system and that got me interested again. In researching this I discovered the TronicalTune system which can be retro-fitted to many guitars.

There are many configurations of TronicalTune. They include Gibson models like the Les Paul, SG and Flying V, Fender’s Strats and Telecasters as well as Taylor and Yamaha. Each kit comes with everything needed to install the robot tuner on your guitar, including six robo-heads, a contacting PCB and control interface, battery and charger for about $300.

I wonder if anyone has gone this route and what your experience has been.
