UPLOAD ONCE TO US AND WE HANDLE TAGGING, UPLOADING, REGISTRATION, META DATA – THE HOLY GRAIL OF MUSIC LIBRARY SOFTWARE!
Hey everyone! My name is Bobby Cole and I’ve been a library music composer for nearly 20 years. One of the things I’ve hated is uploading, tagging, registering with the PROs, e.t.c. But now I’ve created a service that does it ALL for you called Melody Rights!
Melody Rights, the cutting-edge platform designed to revolutionize how music creators manage and distribute their content, is proud to announce its official launch. Founded by industry expert and Managing Director Bobby Cole, Melody Rights provides a seamless solution for composers, producers, and musicians to take full control of their music rights and distribution.
With a strong focus on independent creators, Melody Rights helps artists upload and register to a range of royalty registration services, allowing the user complete flexibility to opt in and opt out of any or all services
Performing Rights Organizations: ASCAP, BMI, PRS for Music, SOCAN, and more.
Mechanical Rights Organizations: Harry Fox Agency, MCPS, MLC, and others.
Neighbouring Rights Agencies: PPL, SoundExchange, and global counterparts.
Content ID Systems: YouTube Content ID and other digital fingerprinting tools.
Social Music Sites: SoundCloud, MixCloud, Bandcamp, ReverbNation, and others.
Stock Libraries and Distribution Channels: AudioSparx, Motion Elements, DepositPhotos, Pond5, and more in the pipeline.
Gaming Asset Marketplaces, such as V Game, Itch and Unity.
“Our mission is to empower music creators by offering them the tools they need to succeed in today’s fast-evolving music landscape,” says Bobby Cole, Founder and Managing Director of Melody Rights. “This launch marks the beginning of an exciting journey to support creators, enabling them to distribute their work widely while maintaining control over their rights and royalties.”
Key Features of Melody Rights:
• Simplified Music Uploads: A user-friendly portal to upload, manage, and distribute music seamlessly.
• Extensive Distribution Network: Access to top-tier platforms in stock music, gaming, and social music categories, with plans for rapid expansion.
• Fair and Transparent Royalties: Ensuring creators retain maximum control over their work and receive fair compensation.
• Customizable Plans: Tailored to meet the unique needs of composers, producers, and independent artists alike.
Melody Rights is built on a foundation of trust and simplicity, eliminating unnecessary complexities often associated with traditional music distribution. The platform also includes a resource hub and personalized support to guide users through every step of the process.
Creators can now sign up and start their journey at https://www.melodyrights.com.
December 3, 2024 at 8:23 am #47001Art MunsonKeymasterI’ve known Bobby a long time. Seems like a great service and worth a look.

December 13, 2024 at 5:03 pm #47018yam_decal_ideallyParticipantHi Bobby, just some feedback:
1) I could not find a Terms of Service anywhere, even on the page where you pay for a plan.
2)Also on that page, at the bottom of the mini FAQ section, it just says “click.” I thought this would expand the section to show more questions, but instead a pop up saying “Creating your subscription” showed up with an endless loading wheel (I had not entered any payment info).
3)My iCloud email address was flagged as invalid when trying to make an account
4)There are some editing issues here & there like typos and sentences that repeat twice. It seems like a cool service but speaking as someone who went in totally blind the above points (mainly #1) did not inspire confidence.
December 16, 2024 at 3:08 am #47021catch22musicParticipantHi yam_decal_ideally, thank-you for your feedback. Please be aware that the site is in Alpha release, front end components are still being designed and the site will change over the coming weeks stretching into the new year.
We have spent 12 months testing and preparing the distribution system, which has registered 100s of thousands of songs prior to this post. Melody Rights is our public access point to the service which is still being developed.
I will cycle through each of your points:
1. Our TOS is currently not on the site, after months of finalizing; it will be released as part of the site later this week. An update here will be posted.
2. Please rest assured that no payment or subscription creation took place from that button, it was simply a button to test page loading times. No external operation was linked to that button. It will be removed along with our TOS going up.
3.There could be several reasons for this, however an analysis of our logs is required. Please bare with me to look into this for you.
4. We are aware of multiple typos, and breaks of components. These are all queued to fix, and will not be included in our official release. Thank-you for bringing them to our attention.
Any registrations currently taking place have been through manual signing of our contract and TOS.
This feedback is greatly appreciated, please contact info@melodyrights.com at any point for an official copy of our contract / TOS or any general discussions that require more detail.
