New UK Copyright Laws

Hi,

I have just heard that the UK laws on copyright are being revised.
I gather you can use a sample providing you can justify it is not in direct competition of the original piece of work.
Does anyone have any further information?

I heard something about this on Radio 4 yesterday. I think it’s in regard to parodies of songs. I’ll see if I can find a link.
