PMA membership and events?

I was wondering if any of my composer friends were members of the PMA and what you thought of the prospect of joining on the composer level , and , in general, their events? Also, for east coast composers, was anyone planning on going to the Ad Music event on May 9? Besides supporting the cause what are the benefits of joining?

Hw often do they do events in New York?

Hi Chuck,

The composer membership level is a new thing and I think it’s a great idea.

Attending PMA events is an informative and eye-opening experience for anyone who has only written tracks for the RF and NE (think JP) world. Be aware that the later is not well-received.

The PMA holds at least one meeting in NYC, in the fall.
