I’ve seen many composers post images from the clients who have licensed their music on their web sites or just included them in artist descriptions. I would like to start doing this myself, but was wondering a few things:
1. Which types of deals are required to include the company as your client? For example, if Microsoft hired me directly to score a spot, there is no question, but what if Apple licensed my track through a library or publisher? Would it be reasonable to list Apple as my client?
2. Is it okay to use the company’s logo or do I need to get permission before doing this?
I would ask permission.
