Tunesat just picked up 8 seconds of one of my tracks in a promo for a popular CBS series. I’ve had several promo placements before, but this one aired on 9 different stations within a 45 minute time frame.

I suspect I will see a sync fee for it next year, but back end? I haven’t quite figured out the competitrack thing yet. Would anyone care to share experience or insight?

May depend on the library but you should get back end for a CBS promo. I’ve had many promos for cable channels and never any back end.

They only pick up commercials. Just open an account with them and search for a commercial you might have music on. BMI uses their counts for payment.

    Thanks Art,
The promo is for a CBS show, but is has not aired on CBS. I has aired on just about every cable channel though. Over 100 times in the past 48 hours.
It is plugging that the CBS show is moving to a new time slot starting tonight, so it will end shortly. I’m not overly excited about it, just curious.
