    Hi Guys,

I’ve been producing at home for a while, I was wondering what you thought of the standard of my tracks?

I know these have no bottom end, but with regards to arrangement etc I was after feedback if I could submit to libraries.

    Cheers,
    Jon

    Hi Jon,

I actually like this kind of retro sound and. at least in my parts, there is a call for it when done right. I feel that this style should be either one of two distinct types; A – ultra high tech with bang up to the nanosecond sounds, massive production values, minimalist intentions and a wildly expensive sounding filmic sheen to the whole thing or, B – ultra low tech with dirty, vintage sounds preferably recorded on a C90 cassette and phoned in to the mastering engineer ;-).

This for me falls somewhere in the middle. Time to make a decision.

    Just my tuppence worth 🙂

Thanks for the feedback TechNoiZ, its great to get an objective opinion.

If it was to do with my own tastes everything would be darker, dirtier and weirder, so definately more in the B camp.

I’m a total noob at this though, haven’t submitted anything to libraries, I would think that option A would be something that would get you more business.

    Cheers
    Jon
