String libraries REDUX

Saw that this had been a topic for one of the polls; don’t know if anyone has heard this comparison of string libraries on SoundCloud:

Personally I find the Hollywood Strings EWQL sample a little hard to judge since it’s further back in the reverb space, and LASS…well it just sounds weird!

I have the straight-up VSL Pro set (it’s about 10 years old!) but with enough work I find that I can get almost (but not always) the sound I want. And SAM Brass is head and shoulders better than VSL brass for most mainstream orchestral styles.

Maybe someone will find this useful 😛
