Submitting Ad Codes

Hi everybody,

I have a question about submitting competitrack ad codes to the PRO. Should I wait with filing a claim for a particular ad until it has aired for a few months/years or is it fine to submit it as soon as detected? When the PRO knows about the Ad, will future airings for this particular ad be automatically processed?

I sent a msg to ASCAP asking about future airings of an ad I’d already sent in a claim for. After 4 weeks, no response. I’ll let you know what they say.

Another question about submitting ad codes. Can I still file a claim for a TV ad that aired 3 years ago? Is there still some money waiting ‘somewhere’ when a TV ad is not yet claimed or is this ‘PRO collected money’ for that year already divided among publishers and writers?
