The Production Music Awards are coming up in November (in the UK) and I was thinking of going along. As far as I can tell this is the third year it will be held, and it looks like it’s been growing steadily each year:

It sounds to me like a good idea and a great way for library composers like us to be recognised. ‘Award winning composer’ would be a nice thing to say about one’s self!

So I wondered if anyone has any experience of it? Anyone been, going, nominated, won in the past, boycotting, indifferent? The only thing that may stop me from attending is the price – £120.00 for a ticket seems expensive!

There’s also an event called ‘Tune Up’ a couple of days before which looks useful:

And the award for best corporate ukulele cue (with human whistling) goes to…just kidding, nice to have an organization spotlighting the industry 🙂

The awards are probably shaped like a Ukulele!
