    Hi there,
Recently had a placement on an Australian TV show that is currently being broadcast on Quest which is a UK channel from a music library I write for based in the USA. I am UK based. With a placement like this will royalties go direct to my PRS account as it’s a UK broadcast (In which case I might expect to see royalties come in fairly soon)? Or will they go to a USA based PRO affiliated with the library/publisher in the USA first, and then get transferred to my UK based PRO at a later quarter?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the noob question!

Hi PAMMusic. I would think that it would go to your PRS account but I’m just guessing. Have you contacted your PRO to ask them?

    Thanks Art,
Not contacted my PRO yet as it’s only just been broadcast but done a quick cue sheet search and similar shows on Quest have cue sheets registered with my PRO so that is a good sign.

    Hi
Can you tell me how to do a search for a cue sheet on my PRO?

Depends on your PRO I guess. Might be worth emailing them.

Since you’re PRS-registered and the show aired in the UK, you should expect the royalties to come via PRS without needing to go through a US PRO first. It can take a few quarters for payment, though, so keep an eye on your PRS statements.

You might see the cue sheet for it if you log into your PRS account and use the cue sheet search.
