I'm new to writing for Libraries as of December 2015. Prior to this, I made music with little to no thoughts of making money. Then I had a child, and things changed. I studied music education, brass performance, sound recording, and electronic music at the University of Utah and later earned a masters degree in music technology at IUPUI Indianapolis. In 2009 I founded the Salt Lake Electric Ensemble, a "laptop orchestra" dedicated to performing and recording important works from the 20th and 21st centuries. We have released critically acclaimed albums and performed concerts of music by composers like Terry Riley, Karlheinz Stockhausen, and Philip Glass. I'm currently working with libraries like PMG, Crucial, Getty, MIBE, Audiosparx, and Pond5. I also freelance as an audio engineer, sound mixer, and editor. I also record parts for 3rd party productions, playing trumpet, flugelhorn, synthesizer, sampler, and drum machines. I'm an expert in Ableton Live, digital audio, and MIDI.
