I am a member of MLR, a legit composer and have no personal connection to Soundreef. I stand by my comments (above). I have made pretty good money from Soundreef (over $1000 this year I think). I have paypal statements to prove it. I don’t feel like I need to justify myself, but when a company does well for you I feel like they deserve the praise. In fact half of me wants people to not believe it…. there’s a saying in Spanish “Menos boca, mas me toca”….. however I know that’s not the spirit of this forum. I have gotten alot out of MLR over the several past years and wanted to share a little bit. It’s erks me slightly that one of my first posts has viewed as suspect. It doesn’t make me want to necessarily share more… however on the flip side I can understand the influx of positive reviews is strange.
TravelingriversideParticipantI honestly didn’t even remember registering with Soundreef until I started getting paid by them. I just found out it was thru Beatpick that I signed on with them. I have 56 tracks with them and I get paid pretty well. I’m not about to go out and buy a new Bentley, but I could go out an buy a nice new Martin guitar. The payments were a very nice surprise!
July 14, 2014 at 9:00 am in reply to: 4th Quarter 2013 ASCAP Statements are online! How did everyone do? #17043TravelingriversideParticipantI had a few cable TV and network placements (NBC) starting in Nov 2013 and most recently a few months ago. My ASCAP statement was not nearly what I thought it would be. I called ASCAP and spoke to a rep. He told me cue sheets can take a few months to be filed and once ASCAP gets them they’re on a 6 month lag before they process them into the quarterly statements. Either way I’m still disappointed in my Q4 2013 statement.
