    • Congrats guscave but I don’t understand why my emails keep coming back. I even filled out there online question form to ask and it. No response
      I keep getting this message…..
“Hi. This is the qmail-send program at yahoo.com.
I’m afraid I wasn’t able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I’ve given up. Sorry it didn’t work out.
      :
Sorry, I wasn’t able to establish an SMTP connection. (#4.4.1)
I’m not going to try again; this message has been in the queue too long.”
      Any clues?

  1. Email submission keeps bouncing back. Made two attempts. I copied myself and received them just fine. Maybe they’re not accepting anymore. I double checked the submission address. I used their on site contact submission form to ask if they’re still accepting or what.
If I get no response, time to move on.

  2. Hey Folks,

Eric at Full Volume Music has been very proactive and they have changed their submission policies so I think they deserve another look.

Thanks for everyone’s input. We can make a difference!

  3. After Taxi, I won’t pay anybody another dime to submit music. There’s plenty of decent libraries that don’t need my money to cover the cost of their operation. I’ll pass on that model.

    • Thanks for your response…we have modified our policies and practices and have eliminated the fees associated with the submission of music to our library. We understand that this was a point of great concern to artists, and we want to eliminate any confusion regarding the implications and practices of Full Volume Music.

We just want to get good music heard worldwide.

      Have a wonderful day!

      • Kudos Erik. It’s nice to see the fee requirement concerns taken to heart. I lost interest immediately first time due to the fee requirements but I would be happy to revisit Full Volume again.
Dumb question though, If I submit an mp3 to the “submission” email address, which email address do I use to say I submitted an mp3 via email? Sounds redundant or maybe I’m just not understanding.

  4. Nobody should be paying for submissions, unless they are from a reputable source like the FMN which seems to be where they might be getting their opportunities from anyway. After checking out their FAQ’s, they seem a bit green in various areas. All of a sudden, there are these small companies popping up, similar to this one that I think as composers, we should all be careful of. They are just trying to make a quick buck and some, just because they had their own music placed, they think they can all of a sudden run a copyright administrations, registrations, A&R, recording engineering, International sub-publishers, cue sheet administration and the various number of other duties involved with being attached to writers and music publishers. What a joke. Buyer beware!

    • Absolutely! Do not pay for submissions!! It’s a mugs game. Nothing good can ever come of it because it shows they don’t value the music or composers.

I.e. they need paying to listen to it when composers are actually doing them a big favour by sending their work in!!!!!! It is inexcusable.

One look at the website and a listen to the music tells me all I need to know about this particular company. It may as well have ‘run by amateurs from a very small bedroom somewhere’ blazoned across the front page in 6ft high letters.

I repeat guys – DO NOT PAY FOR SUBMISSIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they cared about your music they would not charge.

Then again, 1000 submissions at $5 a time? Hmmm…nice gig. There’s alot of desperate people out there that would certainly pay that in the faint hope that it leads somewhere.

      • Jello & Toby,

Hopefully my willingness to stand here on this public forum and discuss these matters openly for all to see will serve to change your opinion of how my company is managed and operated. Yes…Full Volume Music is a relatively new company, but our library consists of thousands of songs ranging from all genres, moods, and eras, much of which has been submitted by multi-platinum selling recording artists and composers. We have built solid relationships with several media outlets and record companies that we are proud of, and we put a lot of work into constantly searching for new opportunities for artists and media outlets worldwide. To resort to the name calling and accusations that you guys are posting is not fair to us or to the judgement of the people who have forged working relationships with us and have trusted us with their work.

I fully understand the purpose of this forum. Because of the opinions posted on this site my partners and I were willing to reassess our positions on several of our policies and make changes that not only serve the artists and clients better (which is our number one priority), but will also hopefully restore your faith in our professionalism and practices, which we pride ourselves in. We work extremely hard in order to serve artists and clients, and the music that was posted on our website was music that was submitted by your peers…music that they have worked hard on. While constructive criticism is always welcome, the judgement of the work as “amateur”, calling it “a joke” seems a bit over the top, especially from professionals who are aware of the hard work, creativity and pride that it takes to make music. I understand that you are certainly entitled to your opinion, but I do not think that your public negative criticism of the work of other artists is helping you get your point across. They put the same time, effort, love and pride into their music as I am sure that you do, and we will actively pursue opportunities for them and all artists who submit their works to our library.

Lastly, the accusations that Full Volume Music is a fly-by-night company that is looking to steal money from artists, and the claims that we “don’t value the music or composers” and are “run by amateurs from a very small bedroom somewhere” could not be further from the truth. Full Volume Music is a company that was founded by musicians who care deeply about music. We all have a genuine, deep-rooted interest in the fair treatment of musicians and composers of all types. We understand how easily musicians are misled and deceived nowadays, and we are genuinely one of the “good guys” in the industry. If our concern was making a quick buck, I certainly would not be spending so much time responding on this or any forums. Our image and the public perception of our company is a point of pride for me and my partners at Full Volume Music, and we will do whatever it takes to maintain a positive image in the music community. We do this because we love music, as I am sure that you do too.

I understand that artists have to be guarded when it comes to their work, and we appreciate the service that you are providing to people who may be looking to get their music placed. We will keep our eyes open for suggestions such as the ones found here. We are always striving to keep our clients happy, artists happy, and to make sure our service stands out from the rest.

Again…always feel free to contact us at info@fullvolumemusic.com with any questions, concerns or suggestions that you may have. Have a wonderful evening.

        • Thanks Eric for being so proactive. Very refreshing!

BTW Jello is always a bit over the top but he’s been around a while and does know the biz. Jello go stand in the corner:)

          • Hey Art,

I would not necessarily consider his words over the top…he seems to be passionate and has a strong opinion. I can certainly appreciate people who tell it like it is. Like I said…constructive criticism is always welcome. It only serves to make us better at what we do. Trust me…my partners and I have put our hearts and souls into this company, and we care deeply about our image and people’s perception of how we conduct business. We will do whatever it takes to make sure that we are doing right by you guys and anyone who chooses to do business with us.

  5. Hello Art,

I was made aware of this report tonight by one of my partners, so I thought I would stop by and hopefully clarify any questions that you may have regarding my company, Full Volume Music. I have gone over my email inbox and could not find a message from you, so if you wouldn’t mind resending it to me I would be glad to answer any of the questions that you may have regarding our policies.

With regard to our submission fees…we offer both exclusive as well as non-exclusive submission options for artists. We do charge a small fee of $5.00 for 3 tracks under our non-exclusive option. This fee is waived for artists who opt to sign an exclusive agreement with us. Our submission fees are collected in order to offset some of the costs associated with reviewing, categorizing and brokering the large amount of submissions made to Full Volume Music each day.

Please feel free to visit the “Submit Music” and “FAQ” tabs on http://www.fullvolumemusic.com, as they may help to answer some of the questions that you may have. If the website leaves some of your questions unanswered, please feel free to contact us.

    Have a great day!

    • Thanks for dropping by Eric.

The problem, as I explained in an earlier comment, is that I submitted through FM Submit (paid a submission fee) and received an e-mail of acceptance. I was directed to your website where I discovered yet another submission fee! I sent an e-mail to info@fullvolumemusic.com regarding the $5 submission fee but never received a reply. FM Submit was as dismayed as I was of another fee and was told to e-mail you again at a different e-mail address and that the $5 submission fee would be waived. I did not receive a reply to that e-mail either.

In any event not a great experience so far. I also think you will find that a lot of folks here will be turned off by a submission fee. Of course that’s your call

      • Art,

First, let me apologize for our failure to respond to your email. I will take personal responsibility for this mishap, and I assure you that this is not an acceptable business practice from Full Volume Music (or any company for that matter). We were, however, made aware of the issue surrounding people having to pay submission fees twice. Our solution for this problem was the creation of a coupon code that we will be providing to the Film Music Network. This coupon code will be given to subscribers so that, when they make a submission through FM Submit, they will not be forced to pay another fee. Hopefully the whole situation with FM Submit will be rectified shortly, as it is a valuable resource for artists as well as my company.

As far as the submission fee is concerned, at Full Volume Music the submission fee is unfortunately a necessary evil at this time. We are, however, currently exploring ways that we can reduce the fee for non-exclusive submissions while maintaining the personnel on hand to quickly listen to and categorize our library appropriately. As I stated before, our submission fees will be waived for folks submitting through sites where a fee was already paid as well as for exclusive submissions. Any changes to our fees will be posted on http://www.fullvolumemusic.com.

Again…please accept my apologies for our failure to reply to your emails in a timely manner. I will look into this matter personally in order to ensure that it does not happen to anyone again. At Full Volume Music we strive to keep artists as well as our clients happy, and our failure to do so in your case is unacceptable. I fully understand that first impressions are lasting impressions, but please do not allow this experience to be a reflection of our company or practices. Your situation and reviews on this site are bringing this problem to light and allowing us to improve our service. For this, I thank you.

Hopefully we will be able to do business in the future. Being as though you are a paid subscriber to the Film Music Network, your submission fees to Full Volume Music will undoubtedly be waived. Please contact us so that we can work on getting your music heard!

I hope to hear from you soon, Art. Take care.

      • I also received Full Volume Music’s email through the FMN submission. Was invited to send them more tracks (in their words, the more the better). However, I was told to follow their guidelines for submitting (via their link).

I inquired whether it would be $5 for all tracks I submitted, in which he stated in the next email “$5 for three tracks”. But of course, the more tracks the better. If I submitted 30 tracks it would cost $50.

I had no intention of paying Full Volume Music their submission fee. I just wanted to find out more info regarding their legitimacy. I received more than enough to determine this company isn’t good news.

BTW, FMN gave me a free credit for more next submission.

        • Hello guys,

I apologize for the concern that was raised about the legitimacy my company. Our intentions were never to rip-off artists such as yourselves, and we have made several changes to our submission procedures including the removal of any fees associated with the submission of music to our library. Hopefully this restores some of the faith that you had in Full Volume Music.

          Have a wonderful evening!

  6. I recently learned of this company from a request for submission posting. The company posting the request was assured by Full Volume Music that they do not charge for submissions when in fact they do. I have e-mailed Full Volume for clarification on their policies. Stay tuned!
