I was just perusing audiosparx’s site and they brought up a great idea about checking traffic to a particular site. If a music library is selling online (and you are thinking of going that route) it’s a good way to see what kind of daily traffic they have. Go to alexa.com. Pretty cool, no guarantee of sales of course but more traffic = a better chance.

Hi S R, I agree. The Alexa results matter most to the royalty free libraries, i.e. the ones that get all their business from online sales. The libraries that get the bulk of their business through licenses and/or performances royalties probably don’t get much traffic.
Nice one Art. I did mention this a few weeks ago when the site was in it’s infancy, and im glad youve given it its own post.
HOWEVER ( bold for spicy emphasis), remember that some of the best kept secret type libraries dont necessarily get a lot of traffic, simply cause their exclusivity is their USP.

It’s also a great way to compare different sites. Some of the smaller libraries might be growing in traffic exponentially, due to a big marketing push.
