Spotify following? Promote ourselves?

This thought crossed my mind. Like many, I’m trying to figure out how to get a bigger bite of the Spotify pennies. I know getting on popular playlists is one example. How about attracting “followers”? Why don’t we, who have albums on Spotify, start following each other?

BTW, I’ve had music on Spotify for several years now and have made a total of $165 via CD Baby plus a few dollars via my PRO. I am seeing it slowly increase but doubt I will be able to buy my new Ferrari with the earnings anytime soon!

I’m wondering the best way to do it. Link by artist, album or track? I would think by artist but I’m new at this and don’t know the best way. We could also start our own playlists but I’m open to any ideas.

FWIW , haven’t given up on the music licensing, and am having my most consistently decent year to date. But focusing on putting another cover band together and am focusing on multiple streams of income , musically speaking. Lining up first gigs (yay!)

Just listened to your Latin album, Art and am a few tunes into Earth Tones.

Has anyone tried “Spotify for Artists”? I started checking it out but gave up part way through a long privacy agreement that was seeming a bit much.

I do have a Spotify Artists account. It’s interesting seeing the stats. As an example, 28-44 year olds make up over 50% of my listeners. The largest is 28-24 at 30%. Fascinating.
