I’ve been using Keyscape for 5 years..It is excellent! Lots of great pianos, Rhodes, vintage keys..use it all the time!

I tried repeatedly to post it there but the search engine would not bring the library up so I posted it here. My apologies! Now trying to post it there I get a duplicate message so it won’t post now it seems.

    I’ll seek my answer elsewhere.

One thing you could do is go the the libraries you want to have your music in and review the tracks they have signed. Compare them to your mixes. Also make sure that the style of your music would fit into what they sign.

I believe there is a peer section on the forum for input as well.

And for further educating, I recommend groove3.com Fantastic tutorials on all aspects of recording/writing/production etc..

Good luck and Happy New Year!

    Hi Advice,
Yes it is an upbeat and anthemic song of survival..it doesn’t mention the word covid.. It is referred to as a sneaky infestation which is gripping all nations. And then how together we can beat this. I guess I should have been more specific! Are we allowed to mention Library names? I do see them in other posts. I have submitted it to Cru if I think this is the same as you mention.
I will submit away. Thank you for your reply and stay safe!

Great topic and thank you LAWriter for your generous post! I too have always made a living with music, but mostly was from performing. I had a full time job with a music software company in the late 80’s , taught MIDI privately or with workshops and recorded folks in my home studio. I have been a recording addict for 40 years at least! I used to write/record for those song-plugger sheets that would come out with publishers looking for tunes and enter the songwriting contests.
I started writing for sync 3 years ago. I sure have a ways to go. But I love the challenge and community of writers I have met. I am getting more no’s than yes’s right now and I have a minimal stash of tunes (Except for reel to reel vintage ones that I have signed), but the stash is growing.
I feel blessed to have these opportunities to work towards especially when one is home now due to Covid.
I do website work on the side and other various sundries to support myself. I don’t know if I will ever get to 60K, but I must say I am enjoying the process, and even when hit hard, I am still putting myself forward and the creativity within is wonderful. and good for health!

    Hi All,
It really is through hard work and research that one establishes their contacts in the music sync.
What one could suggest to someone wanting to know how, etc is tell them to check out T**I, independent music A&R. . That is where I started. I’m not promoting them here, but it’s a great starting point! They can start their journey right there.
    Best to all!
