PatrickMParticipant
Thanks you very much, Dannyc!
Mark, you are always very helpful, I really appreciate your tips and will certainly work on what you have mentioned! Thanks for the reference track as well, Iโm a big fan of Blakusโ mock ups and compositions.
Thanks again for your time, Mark and Dannyc, really appreciate it!
PatrickMParticipantHey Dannyc, thanks for having a listen and commenting!
I’ll leave a link to some original trailer’ish music of mine and would also be very interested in your opinion on it if you get a chance. Cheers!PatrickMParticipantSorry .. here is the link
PatrickMParticipantNot to go too off topic, but if anyone is looking for different genres and/or a way to discover new music styles .. you have to check out this site http://everynoise.com/engenremap.html
PatrickMParticipant@Mark_Petrie wow .. that is some super advice!
Thanks so much for that, I will definitely have another go at this track, taking your suggestions on board and trying out some of the techniques other people here have suggested.
Thanks everyone!!ps.. love being part of the MLR community!
PatrickMParticipantThanks Pat, Michael and Woodsdenis!
I greatly appreciate your words of wisdom. I’ll definitely check out the Lurssen Mastering Console, looks like it could be a great solution.
And mixing/mastering using mid-side is something I should explore more really… thanks again for the reminder!PatrickMParticipantHey markdorricott, I use my Unique Tax ID number on the W8 BEN (part 1 section 6) form and has been working fine.

PatrickMParticipantIt might get interesting for Cubase users as Yamaha/Steinberg have formed an alliance with Harrison. Fingers crossed that some of the Harrison-magic rubs off onto a next version of Cubase.
PatrickMParticipantHi,
Hopefully someone can help me understand this.
I’m still not 100% clear on this US ITIN/EIN/Tax story.
I currently live in Chile but do my banking in the UK and I’m pretty sure there isn’t a tax treaty between the US and Chile so if I had an ITIN or EIN number, would that actually help me get back any tax withheld by the IRS in the US or would it not matter since there is no treaty between Chile and the US?? OR… Should I get an ITIN/EIN and use my British nationality for accounting matters? SO CONFUSING! HELP!October 19, 2015 at 2:07 pm in reply to: Composers who also release material for commercial release #23186PatrickMParticipantThanks Edouardo, definitely going to use Bandcamp and Kunaki is a great solution for physical CD sales! I was waiting for answers from DistroKid and Loudr. If anyone is wondering, with DistroKid you can choose to have specific tracks enter Content ID and Loudr do not enter any music into Content ID.
MuscoSound, Thanks for the heads up on AMAdea, do they digitally fingerprint tracks? I would assume not. Cheers!October 17, 2015 at 9:37 am in reply to: Composers who also release material for commercial release #23166PatrickMParticipantGreat topic! I was thinking about this last week.
Can anyone recommend an online music distributor that does not submit music to any digital fingerprinting or Content ID ?
Last thing I want is to wreak havoc with my non-exclusivesPatrickMParticipantSeems to be working now. I got a detection yesterday, 16th.
PatrickMParticipantWow .. some great music here!
As quite a few of us here, I’m quite new to the music production business and MLR but I’ve learned a lot from all of the usual contributors here, so for that, thank you all!!
I hope I can contribute something useful in the near future as well. Here are some of my compositions so far, any feedback is always welcome!
Cheers!
