Hey Pictunes, yes it can get pretty crazy out there. Many libraries are 16bitx44.1kHz; but there’s a wide range of others with different requirements spanning an entire range of bit rates, sample rates and even file types. I haven’t really found a standard if one wants to be competitive, and am still working on how to streamline the conversion process to acommodate all in the least amount of time. I’m also interested in other’s opinions…
richmstudiosParticipantDaniel,
5 libraries sounds like a reasonable amount, assuming that they’re getting you placements and some income. Gotta watch the ebb & flow though as libraries that are doing great right now may not in the future. That’s where keeping tabs on the MLR and at music conferences comes in.
As for a good mix (using the 5 library model): 1 RF (20%), 3 NE (60%), 1 EX (20%)?
richmstudiosParticipantI always use WeTransfer.com whenever I can – works wonderful. You can upload up to 2GB for free and your library owner/email recipient gets a download link to use.

richmstudiosParticipantGreat question Kubed. Sorry I can’t answer it since I’ve not found myself in a situation like yours (yet). It has been a concern of mine ever since jumping into the RF market though. To play it safe I’ll only post to RF sites that allow immediate deletion of tracks just in case something like this comes up. I, too, would like to hear others thoughts on this…
richmstudiosParticipantThanks for sharing – pretty nice time saver! FYI, Adi offers the source code for download so you can add your own tags for personal use.
