Micheal – thanks for sharing that! I’m an ASCAP member too so it gives me hope 🙂
SabalSoundsParticipantA Roibert McMarley production 🙂
SabalSoundsParticipantGreat stuff paolo!
I’ve saved a template for mastering for sure. When creating I don’t stick to templates for an entire session per se but instead with Cubase I can archive tracks with all inserts /eq etc. So if one combination of plugins sounds great for a shoegaze sound and another for a country sound etc. I can import those tracks loaded and ready to create depending on what the cue calls for. I’m beginning to build drum templates too as that seems to be where a majority of time is spent tweaking.
SabalSoundsParticipantHi ComposerLDG – I admit I don’t know enough about what’s being proposed in the legislation but I too am going to start paying more attention. What I have is concerning.
A few months back ASCAP sent out a mandatory survey of all ASCAP composers asking questions like “Would you pay for the services you receive freely from ASCAP now or move to another PRO?”. Which sounds to me like ASCAP is, at minimum, reviewing their current model and attempting mitigate any future risk to earnings.
How much of that has to do with pending legislation I’m not certain but to take your post a step further the industry will be collectively impacted.
SabalSoundsParticipantHi all – first post for me in these forums. Thanks to all for the great info.
I’ve used a lot of what has already been mentioned and I will add:
I think the best $50 USD I ever spent was on Valhalla ROOM. Fantastic reverbs with many editable parameters (the GUI is nothing fancy but I’ve grown to love it too)
